The Breezeway

Todd and I have been working on this breezeway for awhile. It was basically a non-room since we've been here as it was ugly and a catchall for everything. It is now our mudroom/office/craft room/quiet space/sunroom. I know I have some before pictures somewhere, but I'm not feeling that efficient at this moment.

I've always wanted to have a ladder to hang my projects on. The desk is an old red door from off one of the barns. We topped it with glass and the legs are a filing cabinet and individual adjustable legs from ikea.
Here's my collection of floral paintings found at garage sales and various places.

I would really like to put this chair...

...in this corner.
Actually, there are a lot of things I still need to do in here, but this isn't HGTV and it is not going to happen in a 48 hour time period.

And there you have it. My new favorite room in the house.

OH my gosh!!!!!!!! I love it. I have the before picture in my mind. I never dreamed it could be this amazing. Was there already a wood floor? Was the shelving behind the door already there? I cannot believe it. It is amazing. The desk, the color....... mh

That was worth the wait. It looks better than I ever imagined. Great color choices. That little room is perfect. I can't believe how bright and airy it is now. Good work team martin.

At last! You guys really outdid yourselves this time (I will give Todd credit here because I know he most likely did all the manual labor while you stood bossing, I mean directing him). I love the flooring, canvas print, door/desk, built in shelves, 143, ladder...everything. I don't want you to let a single guest through the front door ever again. Can't wait to see it in person. PS- where did all the old toy/trinkets go?

Had to study it a bit more...one more thing- I also love the shelf- that looks like barnwood to me- can you send a piece down my way?
