Holidays 2010

This is what you look like after spending 5 days on a trampoline.

We had a marathon celebration with Todd's family these holidays. Christmas in Lancaster and New Year's eve in Hanford. We always have a lot of fun together and I love the way Blynn and Addy unite with each other for the first time. Even when it's only been 2 days since they saw each other last. In fact, we had so much fun that I barely took any pictures. Too busy having fun.

Great Great Grandma

Our children have the rare privilege of having a great, great grandma. And Marie Johnson is so fabulous that she deserves two greats before her name. She is 106 1/2 years old and she is still very young. Her studies right now include the Holy Land, a 2009 Atlas, and our Constitution. She has many things she would like to do but she told us that she is just too busy. Her busy-ness includes taking her one any only prescription every day and then waiting 15 minutes to take her blood pressure, doing her puzzles and then falling asleep while doing them, going to church, crocheting dish rags, organizing cupboards, and her before mentioned studies. She has a Mac computer. And she can keep track of family members about 1,628 times better than Todd (who really has no idea about any of his family members). She is sharper than I am on most days and gets around the house good too. But most of all, she loves the Lord with all her heart and puts all of her trust in Him. She has more pictures in her house of Jesus than any of the other family members.

This is a local newspaper interview with her a few years ago, but she is just the same.

Ring my bell...ring my bell

Who wouldn't put money in the Salvation Army pot when this cute girl is ringing the bell?

2010 Kindergarten Christmas Program

Blynn is Mary.

Sam is shepherd #4, a highly sought after role with a few understudies.

Joseph looks as if he is responsible for raising the Savior of the world. No pressure.

I'm not sure this is going to help.

She's 6

Blynn has recently turned 6 years old. That hardly seems right. Is it possible that she was born 6 years ago? Man, a lot has happened in 6 years.
I was off my game this year and her birthday crept up. And, December isn't the quietest of months, especially when you have a school aged child. December gets crazy. So, last minute, I asked Blynn what kind of a party she wanted, and she said "a princess and super hero party". Done. So here are the following princesses and super heroes:

Giselle (AKA my sister in her wedding gown)
The well known super hero "Spandex Man". Look how scared she is in the corner.

Larry Boy (made by Grandma Sherri way before Blynners was even born)

Captain America and some sort of Backugan

I'm not sure what Todd and I are. Super parents maybe.

Another super easy party. Blynn has been easy to please when it comes to parties and I'm so happy I haven't had to do a mega-party yet.
