Ma'am, would you like to come back another time?

I found out a couple of weeks ago at the United counter in Colorado Springs that my license is expired. I would like to say that the night before I went to the DMV, Todd was violently sick and we were up for most of the night. So I went the next morning down to the DMV to get my license renewed and I was wearing secondary pajamas and a hat, and I looked puffy, tired, and just plain awful. I explained my situation to the lady at the counter and in a concerned voice she stated, "Ma'am, you are going to have to take a picture with this renewal, would you like to come back another time?" Well, thank you, but no, I don't want to come back another time. This is the only time in my life that I am free to come down here. "You will have to take off your hat." Yes, I gathered that. I was just relieved that I wasn't going to have to take a test. Now for your viewing pleasure, I release my new picture.

Funny Things

These are some of the funny things that have been happening around here lately. Sometimes our shoe pile can get out of control.Ah! That's much better. Do you see the smaller pair of shoes on the far right?
I'll move in a little closer.

Those would be Jenny's shoes. Blynn has been playing with my "My Friend Jenny" doll that I had as a little girl. She is wearing her jump suit or as Blynn calls it, her "junk soup". Close enough.

How long could you hold that position?

Knee high socks. I love knee high socks. Blynn also calls these "Ni Hao socks". Again, close enough!

The kids love to mow the lawn with Todd and their accessories continue to crack me up. The sunglasses, plastic pirate knife (don't know what she thinks she needs that for) and thumb sucking.

Me: "Blynn you are my big girl and I love you."
Blynn: "You are my huge Mommy and I love you."
Not quite what I wanted to hear.

As of today, we have caught 7 mice in 10 days. Todd just asked if I wanted to post pictures of the dead mice.
Farm living, right Dad!

School Days

I love having all of these backpacks in our breezeway. Rusty thinks he goes to school and usually puts more stuff in there than the others.

Right Eye

This boy constantly has some sort of bruise or scratch on his right eye. We will be lucky if that eye makes it to his 3rd birthday. But this week he had a layered look. First he ran into his sister holding a Mag lite and created a perfect circle around his eye. I couldn't get a good picture with the camera. And then a couple of days later he fell holding a plastic straw and scratched up his right eye. It also doesn't help that both he and his sister are as clumsy as their father.
