Field Trip

In 1986, my sister and I were in a combined 5th/6th combo class and we had a field trip out to my grandparents ranch. This is our class back then. You'll see this trailer again.

In October we had Luke, Blynn and Sam's classes out for that same field trip.

Rusty and Papa waiting for the bus to arrive. (There's the trailer)

Blynn was so excited to ride the bus home.

We started by gathering in prayer and we ended this way too!

They went on a tractor/trailer ride, pulled up some raisins on trays, saw them shaking raisins, watched them shake some walnut trees (that was their favorite), and ate lunch.

And then, after the bus left, and we were left behind to clean up; we had a dance party on the driveway (which is where we have all our dances) to "I Heard it Through the Grapevine".

Soon, I'll show you what we did when we went to the school to get the kids excited about coming out to the ranch. And this is Luke's reaction when we were in his class. He was laughing so hard that he was crying. You may too, so brace yourself.

I love it. You are so blessed to have the Lazy Walking M! And please tell me you didn't make Todd dress in a garbage bag and do a choreographed dance to "I Heard it Through the Grapevine" with you!

What a cool field trip. Are they done with all the harvesting? Do you think that we could set something up for a homeschool field trip?
