Missing Grandpa today

I am missing my Grandpa today. By living out on the farm and in their house, I am fully immersed in the life that he sacrificed to create for his family. I think about him everyday. I just finished reading the book he wrote my cousin, sister and I for the fifth time. Problem is, I can't put it down, so the world has to stop for the 8 hours it takes me to read it, and then the next 30 minutes to an hour I cry. Not nice calm tears, but the full blown sobbing crying. We are so lucky that he had the talent and discipline to write this book to us, as I definitely did not have time or interest in these things before the age of 10.

What a special gift he gave you by writing that book... I would love to read it someday. Now you've got to get your dad working on one for Blynn and Rusty so they can have the same special memories on paper.

I teared just reading the few lines from his letter to you. I would love to read the whole thing too. Such a neat gift. I wish I could have met your grandpa. mh
