I have been letting Blynn choose which letter we learn next. She chose 'm' to come after 'b' and in my line of work that only seems natural (there are so many literal puns in that sentence). They say that kids will learn the order of the alphabet as Blynn already has with the alphabet song, but she does not recognize certain letters individually. So I am supposed to let her direct which letter we learn by things I notice she is interested in. We have had some M&M's leftover from Christmas so she, of course, has been very interested in 'm'. I also have been really lucky to have inherited two former teachers classroom books, my grandma and Todd's mom Sherri. So when I go into the cabinet to choose which books would go along with our letter, I have a lot to choose from and usually have to narrow it down.
