The kids and I have fallen in love with the author Mo Willems' books. He is the author of the Don't Let the Pigeon... series. Which was our initial favorite and then we found out this was his most recent book, 'Knuffle Bunny'. Note that the Pigeon is hidden in all of his books.

It's about a Dad and daughter who head on down to the laundromat but accidentally put her prized bunny in the wash. We can totally relate to that with the recent incident with George.

Eventually they find Knuffle Bunny, but while reading this book 842 times to the kids I realized they had no clue what a laundromat is. So we had a field trip. And here they are, running around the laundromat looking for Knuffle Bunny and the patrons just looked at us like we were crazy. Which we are!
