We said goodbye to Kenai today. This was much harder than I expected. She has been a great family member for the last 11+ years, but has not been doing so great this last year. Losing a dog with children present makes for some very interesting questions. We had a nice memorial service for her out in the fog by the kids walnut trees. We will miss her!

So sad to hear about Kenai. She was a beautiful dog. I do know how you feel and I hope you are doing okay. Hugs to the whole family.
I see I haven't been looking at your blog often enough. So sorry about Kenai. How could she have been 11? It seems like she was just a puppy. She joins good company in the peace of the ranch. Our Sid, Sadie, and Charco prepared the way for her.
